Filipino teen dies after being hit by train in Milan, Italy

A 17-year-old Filipino girl was killed after she was hit by a train at the Greco-Pirelli station in Milan, Italy on Saturday, April 26.

According to Italian news outlet Il Messaggero, the teenager died at the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza following the accident. She was reportedly "crossing the tracks on a scooter with her parents when the train struck her."

The Philippine Consulate General in Milan on Sunday extended condolences to the bereaved family of the Filipino teenager.

"The Consulate requests the Filipino Community to pray for the eternal repose of our departed kababayan's soul," the statement read. — Giselle Ombay/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
