US Embassy warns visa applicants: Do not provide fake documents
The US Embassy in the Philippines on Friday warned visa applicants of the consequences in submitting false documents courtesy of so-called document vendors.
“If you submit fake documents for your work visa application, you are committing fraud. We stay one step ahead of malicious document vendors. Protect your future US travel and job opportunities – tell the truth and do not provide fake documents,” the embassy said in a post on its Facebook account.
In an earlier post this month, the US Embassy also warned that submitting fraudulent documents for work visa applications “is a serious violation that can result in visa ineligibility.”
“The US Department of State maintains stringent screening and security measures to protect the integrity of the US visa system and ensure national security,” it added.
The US Embassy advises the public to report any work visa scams and fraud to FPMManila@state.gov.
According to US laws, entering false information or submitting fake documents may disqualify one’s entry or result in lifetime ban to the US.
