No Filipinos affected by Indonesian protests so far —PH Embassy
No Filipinos have so far been reported affected by the ongoing protests in Indonesia as the country continues to face anti-government rallies due to corruption and cost-of-living issues, the Philippine Embassy said over the weekend.
According to the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta and the Consulate General in Manado, there have been no reports of Filipinos being affected so far, as reported by Sam Nielsen on GMA Super Radyo DZBB on Sunday evening.

There are an estimated 6,002 overseas Filipino workers in Indonesia, 1,779 of whom are based in Jakarta.
Filipinos in the area have been previously advised to stay indoors and to exercise caution amid the ongoing protests.
Just last week a civilian died after being hit by a police vehicle at the site of violent clashes, triggering calls for police reform.
Police chief Asep Edi Suheri has since apologized, and said authorities would detain the seven policemen who were in the vehicle for 20 days for a breach of ethics.
On Sunday, President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesian political parties have agreed to revoke a number of perks and privileges for parliamentarians, in a bid to calm the protests. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA Integrated News
