The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced a new batch of Financial Assistance for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) affected by the Middle East crisis in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

In a statement on Friday, DMW shared that the applications for the one-time financial assistance had officially reopened.

A total of 1,000 slots opened and were quickly filled on Friday, but DMW reassured that new slots will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

“The MWO Dubai will release applications in four batches, scheduled every Tuesday and Friday over a two-week period, to ensure a more orderly and accessible process,” shared DMW.

Interested applicants must prepare the following:

Request for Assistance (RFA) form: bit.ly/RFA-Form (Filipino) or bit.ly/4t5Opjq (English)

  • Passport bio page
  • Emirates ID
  • Any proof of overseas employment
  • Any proof of work disruption

“Mag-apply nang isang beses lamang upang mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang kapwa OFW na makapag-apply din. Ang pagsusumite ng higit sa isang aplikasyon ay magreresulta sa awtomatikong pagka-disapprove/deny ng iyong aplikasyon,” the statement from the MWO Dubai read.

(Apply only once to give your fellow OFWs a chance to apply too. Submission of more than one application will result in automatic disapproval or denial of your application.)

The payout of USD$200 to AED730 will be released across the country or through Al Ansari remittance centers available across the United Arab Emirates.

Any OFW who has already received assistance amid the crisis is no longer eligible for the incoming batches. –Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/NB, GMA News
