Pinoys in Iran urged to take extra precaution


The Philippine Embassy in Tehran on Thursday advised Filipinos in Iran to take the necessary precautions after recent events in the region, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Dobol B sa News TV aired on GMA News TV on Saturday.

 

 

In a Facebook post, the embassy said Filipinos should exercise vigilance to ensure their personal safety.

"Filipinos in Iran are advised to exercise vigilance and take necessary precautions to ensure personal safety in light of recent events in the region," the embassy announcement said.

The Pinoys were urged to monitor developments and check the following websites for news, public notices and emergency announcements:

Tensions have been rising in the region after Saudi Arabia said the attacks that crippled its oil facilities this month came from southwestern Iran.

Reuters sources said the attacks were done with the use of cruise missiles and drones. —KG, GMA News
