Filipinos abroad with COVID-19 now at 8,804 with 594 fatalities —DFA

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Saturday announced that only one country from the Asia and the Pacific region reported a lone coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case among  Filipinos abroad, bringing the total to 8,804.

Meanwhile, one more recovery from the same country brought the total to 5,266 while the number of fatalities remained at 594.

As of July 11, there are 2,944 patients still undergoing treatment.

Data from the DFA showed a total of 679 cases in the Asia Pacific Region. Of the number, 119 are patients still undergoing treatment, 556 have recovered, and four have died.

No changes in data were reported in the Middle East or Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

In the Middle East or Africa, there are a total of 6,379 cases, 2,221 patients undergoing treatment, 3,832 recoveries, 326 fatalities.

In Europe, there are a total of 1,047 COVID-19 cases, 484 patients undergoing treatment, 468 recoveries, and 95 fatalities.

In the Americas, there are a total of 699 cases, 120 patients undergoing treatment, 410 recoveries, and 169 fatalities. —LBG, GMA News
