51 more Filipinos abroad get COVID-19 —DFA
The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday logged 51 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among Filipinos overseas, raising the total tally to 11,474.

Latest data from the DFA also showed that total recoveries also rose to 7,411 after 44 more Filipinos abroad defeated the respiratory illness.
The death toll, meanwhile, remained at 828 with no new fatalities recorded.
The Middle East/Africa still had the highest number of COVID-19-positive Filipinos at 7,518, including 4,648 recoveries and 543 deaths.
The Asia Pacific Region followed with 1,850 cases with 1,304 recoveries and nine fatalities.
In Europe, a total of 1,277 cases have been recorded, 97 of whom have died, while 965 have recovered.
Moreover, in the Americas, 829 Filipinos have been infected with the viral disease, 494 of whom have recovered, while 179 have died.
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the pandemic,” the department said.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
