DFA: Filipino recoveries abroad now at 7,461
Three more Filipinos abroad have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total to 7,461 on Thursday, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The DFA also announced that the total tally of cases rose to 11,511 with one new infection while the death toll remained at 828 with no new fatality.
At present, there are a total of 3,222 patients still undergoing treatment.

Data from the DFA showed a total of 1,855 cases in Asia and the Pacific region with 536 patients undergoing treatment. Recoveries and fatalities in the region were recorded at 1,310 and nine, respectively.
The Middle East or Africa has also reported 7,518 cases. Among these, 2,327 were still undergoing treatment while 4,648 have recovered and 543 have succumbed to the illness.
In Europe, a total of 1,309 cases were recorded with 229 patients undergoing treatment. The region has reported 983 recoveries and 97 fatalities.
Meanwhile, the Americas have announced a total of 829 cases. Of this, 130 patients were still undergoing treatment while 520 have recovered and 179 have died.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF,GMA News
