Pinay nurse assaulted in New York while distributing face masks

A Filipino nurse was physically assaulted in New York in the United States while distributing free face masks to subway commuters, according to a report on Unang Balita on Friday.

The nurse, Potri Ranka Manis, sustained bruises on her face and body after she was assaulted by a couple who refused the face masks she was giving them.

Aside from assaulting her, the couple also allegedly took her cellphone and shouted racial slurs at her, telling her to go back to China.

The New York Police Department is already looking for the suspects.  —KBK, GMA News
