DFA: 3 more Filipinos from Afghanistan arrive in Philippines

Three more Filipinos, who fled conflict-hit Kabul, Afghanistan, arrived in the Philippines, the Department of Foreign Affairs (FDA) said Thursday.

In its Situation Bulletin, DFA said the three Filipinos left Afghanistan through a flight going to Doha.

In total, 185 Filipinos already left Afghanistan while 24 of their compatriots are still stuck in the war-torn country.

Of the 24, 16 have requested repatriation from either their companies or the government, DFA also said.

DFA placed Alert Level 4 or mandatory repatriation over Afghanistan, which is under the rule of militant group Taliban.

It advised Filipinos in Afghanistan, who are seeking repatriation, to contact the Philippine Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan through +923335244762 (WhatsApp or Viber) or isbpeatn@gmail.com as well as the official social media pages.—LDF, GMA News
