Last week we met “Pogi”, a macaque in Laguna. Pogi is a former pet who escaped and became a regular “neighbor” to the residents. Residents in Barangay Banay-Banay used to adore Pogi because of his cuteness, but after years of being around the community, they say Pogi became wild and rowdy.  With the help of the local DENR, Doc Nielsen and the team tried to rescue Pogi but they were unsuccessful. Pogi knows his way around the community and is able to evade the team.

This week, as the rescue of Pogi continues, the team encounters more primates in need of help.  Doc Nielsen and Doc Ferds discover that although they may be our closest “cousins”, primates are also some of the most abused animals.
