'Born to be Wild': Fishing for sardines and monkey rescue
After noticing the dwindling sardine population in fishing grounds off Zamboanga’s shores, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources implemented a fishing ban in 2011. The ban was implemented to help the sardines regenerate and to allow their population to recover. After three years of observing the “open” and “closed” season for sardine fishing, Doc Ferds and his team board a fishing vessel in Zamboanga to answer the question: are the sardine numbers back?
In Naic, Cavite, a concerned citizen asks Doc Nielsen Donato to help rescue a stray monkey that has been roaming around the community. Utmost care must be taken in rescuing the monkey who is found 'perched' on a coconut tree and needs to be sedated using a tranquilizer gun. Almost two feet in height, this monkey may be the biggest to be rescued by the Born team. Will Doc Nielsen be successful in this rescue operation?
