Tokyo bay's big fish and Linapacan's underwater paradise on 'Born to be Wild'

Summer is almost here! Doc Ferds Recio and Doc Nielsen Donato take us out to sea this Sunday on BORN TO BE WILD.

A travel website once said it had “the world’s clearest waters”. Doc Nielsen explores Linapacan Island in Palawan for the first time and meets the many creatures that make up its underwater world. He sees species with “false eyes”, an alien-like being feeding on its prey, and colorful creatures that resemble caterpillars under the sea.

In Japan, Doc Ferds Recio heads to Tokyo Bay where a species of sea bass is said to thrive. Doc Ferds learns that Tokyo Bay, surrounded by factories and power plants, once faced challenges with pollution. Today, efforts are underway to rehabilitate the bay and Doc Ferds finds out through a “catch and release” fishing method that the sea bass survives in Tokyo’s waters.
