'Born to Be Wild' features Hyena Encounter in Kenya and Al Ain Safari in Abu Dhabi

BORN TO BE WILD in Kenya and Abu Dhabi
11th Anniversary Series
Sunday, December 2
Their strong bite force is feared in the animal kingdom and their “villainous ways” have been immortalized in a classic cartoon. But when Doc Nielsen visits their home in Kenya, he and his team find a different side to these creatures—the hyenas.

Doc Nielsen and his team search for the hyenas to observe their behavior. The team does not look for too long as a group of curious juveniles approach their vehicle. The young ones are waiting for their mothers to come back from a hunting trip. As Doc Nielsen and his team eagerly wait for the young to be reunited with their mothers, the cubs show fascinating playful behavior.

Meanwhile, Doc Ferds visits the biggest man-made safari in the world: the Al Ain Safari. In the 1960s, endangered animals from Africa were rehabilitated in the area as many were victims of drought in Kenya.
