'Born to be Wild' features the mantis shrimp and Visayan spotted deer

In Palompon, Leyte, Doc Ferds meets an underwater creature with a “power punch”. Although small in size, the mantis shrimp can cause wounds to fishermen trying to catch them. Watch its unique ability this Sunday.

A resident of Negros Occidental sends Born to be Wild videos of a rare Visayan spotted deer locally known as “lagsaw”. The endangered and aloof animal was seem roaming a village, seemingly unfazed by the presence of people. Why did the deer make its way down to the village?

A few years ago, Doc Nielsen and his team attempted to document this rare deer in the wild but failed. This time, will they be successful?
