Witness the breathtaking 'Sardine Run' in Moalboal, Cebu this Sunday on 'Born to be Wild'

BORN TO BE WILD
Line-up for February 10, 2019

In 2012, the Born team documented millions of sardines underwater in the sea of Pescador Island, Moalboal, Cebu. To film their magnificence, one had to dive 150 feet deep. But today, Doc Ferds and the team return to Moalboal to film the sardine run to find them in shallow waters in another area of Moalboal.

Residents say that compared to previous years when the sardines' sightings have had an on and off peak season, the sardines today appear to stay in this new area for good. What caused this change in their migratory pattern?

Last year, a Philippine eagle died of electrocution in the mountains of North Cotabato. Conservation groups have raised their concerns over this incident as the Philippine eagle is critically endangered. Join Doc Nielsen as he investigates what really happened. Can anything be done to prevent similar accidents in the future?
