This September, prepare for an even more exciting Saturday afternoon as GMA Public Affairs launches its newest true-crime anthology, Pinoy Crime Stories which features compelling and controversial crimes such as online crimes, slavery, murders, robberies, trafficking, kidnapping, abductions, rapes and others.

Senior news correspondent John Consulta embarks on a new and challenging journey hosting the new program. Consulta follows the investigation of each case, traces the important details and points out the results of the authorities examination of crucial pieces of evidence which leads in finding out how each crime happens and eventually gets solved. Containing actual interviews from crime investigators, witnesses, suspects and in some cases, even the victims themselves, every episode will also be complemented by accurate and realistic dramatizations.

Having been a reporter for 15 years, Consulta is at the helm of the police beat and other law-enforcement agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Bureau of Immigration. Known for his background and experience for making investigative special reports, Consulta will expose the truth behind the most compelling and controversial crimes in the country.

For its pilot episode, Pinoy Crime Stories takes on the intriguing murder case of an 85- year old woman who was found dead in her home in Paranaque last month. Her male helper was initially declared as "person of interest" which put him behind bars for one month but was later discovered innocent upon the admission of two other female suspects with one of them even confessing her involvement to the crime to John Consulta.
