A joyful gathering that turned into an unforgettable tragedy, that’s how Phoebe describes what she went through in 2016.

She was only eighteen at the time. What began as a simple party with several male friends ended in a horrific crime. When she became intoxicated, she was sexually assaulted by three people she had considered close friends.

Out of fear and shame, she kept silent, especially from her parents. But in time, she found the strength and the voice to pursue the justice she longed for. After eight years of hearings and waiting, two of the three perpetrators were found guilty.

In her podcast interview with Kara David, Phoebe shared that she knows exactly what it feels like to lose one’s voice as a victim. This drove her to establish a group committed to listening and helping, not only to give a voice to survivors of sexual abuse, but also to guide them through the legal process so they can obtain the justice they deserve.
