In our undisputed place at the top of the food chain, it's easy for humans to be lulled into a false sense of security. But when the forces of nature are against us, we soon realize we are all at the mercy of our planet.
In recent years the destructive power of natural disasters has been recorded - from Hurricane Katrina to the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan. “Serial Killer Earth”, which launches this May on GMA, brings together a top team of experts to examine the most compelling footage from news and home video, as well as hear from eyewitness testimony in order to explain, understand and inform viewers of what actually happened during these disasters.
On its pilot episode, a massive tornado rips through a Midwestern town in the US, destroying everything in its path. In Canada, a giant wall of snow, buries a snowmobiler six feet under. And finally, after several days of heavy rainfall, an artificial lake in Wisconsin overflows, chewing through the land, toppling trees and tearing houses off their very foundations.
Narrated and dubbed in Filipino, “Serial Killer Earth” airs every Tuesday night after Saksi, starting on May 27, on GMA.
