Spongecola hits airwaves again with a theme song for ‘Dangwa’

 

Multi-awarded Pinoy rock band Spongecola is back with “Pag-ibig,” their first recorded single since their album “Ultrablessed” and its repackaged version “Ultrablessed Thank You Edition” hit the record stores in 2014 and early this year.
 

“Pag-ibig” is the theme song for GMA Network’s newest love-serye, “Dangwa.”

The song, set for official release this October, is now being played on GMA’s radio station, 97.1 DWLS FM, and it has already been receiving positive reviews from listeners.

On his social media accounts, lead singer Yael Yuzon has posted and tweeted his excitement about the band’s contribution to “Dangwa.” GMA’s seasoned soundtrack composer Simon L. Tan provided the words and music for the song.
 

“Pag-ibig” speaks of the wonders of love and how it brings joy to a person’s life. It is a fitting theme song for “Dangwa.”

“Dangwa” is top-billed by Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez. She plays the role of Rosa, a flower vendor with a mysterious power: whoever buys or receives flowers from her finds his or her true love. Rosa herself has yet to find the love of her life and her own love story blooms throughout the series.

“Dangwa” premieres on October 26, Monday, 11AM.
