"Land of Sweet Surprises," papasyalan sa 'i Juander'

I Juander, bakit tinaguriang “Land of Sweet Surprises” ang Negros Occidental?

I Juander, bakit tinaguriang “Land of Sweet Surprises” ang Negros Occidental?

English:

For those looking for summer destination, why don’t you try visiting the “Land of Sweet Surprises”, Negros Occidental. I Juander, what are the sweet surprises that await to those who will travel to the province?

Lakawon Island Resort in the town of Cadiz is one of the most visited places not only because of its clear water, white sand and its sandbar. This is where the biggest floating bar in the Philippines called Tawhai is found. While in Talisay City, the known “Taj Mahal of Negros” called the Ruins is located. The place is visited not only because of its amazing architectural design, people also wants to meet the funny tour guide Roger.

Sugar is the primary industry in Negros Occidental which started during the Spanish time. The sugar mill that Cesar Apolinario visited was founded in 1873 and still operational at present. And because sugar is the main product of the province, one should not miss the chance to try out their sweet delicacy, the popular piaya that visitors bring home from Bacolod.

Find out the tragedy that tested the resiliency of the people of Negros, and despite their problems they encountered, they remain positive and smiling.

Join Susan Enriquez and Cesar Apolinario in their trip to Negros Occidental this Wednesday on I Juander, eight o’clock in the evening on GMA News TV, as they answer the question:

I Juander, why is Negros Occidental known as the “Land of Sweet Surprises”?
