Imbestigador in Paris!

Episode aired June 18 Imbestigador offers the unexpected as host Mike Enriquez travels to Paris, the most romantic city in the world and home to over 40,000 Filipinos. Paris casts a warm glow on homesexual Filipinos who have found love here. The city's openness allows gay communities to thrive, including Filipino gay groups. Imbestigador follows the story of Sam who basks on the love and stability provided by his partner, a rich French accountant. France's tolerant society is a refuge for Sam and others like him as the government allows homosexuals to enter into legal and binding contracts that protect their status as partners, much like regular couples. But the light does not shine as brightly for some of our OFWs. Imbestigador documents the plight of terminally ill workers who have chosen to spend their last days in Paris. One of them is Isabel, a 50-year old Filipina who has been battling cancer for years now. Sadly, she lapsed into a coma days after her interview with the Imbestigador team. Imbestigador also trains its lights on what makes Filipinos thrive wherever they are: their innate ability to make money. The team discovers a woman who is nanny to an heiress from Monday to Friday and a home service manicurist on weekend. Others combine domestic work with wedding or lounge singing and call card vendors.
