Abortion Online (Documentary of Kara David)

Episode on September 21, 2009 Monday night, after Saksi In the third installment of the I-Witness’ Black Market Special, Kara David presents a shocking documentary on the growing abortion industry in the internet. Kara discovers that aside from abortion drugs being sold online, appointments with abortionists can now be made easily via chat rooms and websites. Kara meets “Peter," not his real name, who admits that his girlfriend “Alice" underwent an abortion through a website that carries out abortion procedures. “Peter" divulges the whole process in detail of how they made the online transaction. After exchanging cell phone numbers with an “agent," the couple was given a schedule for the abortion procedure. “Peter" and “Alice" met up with the agent and were brought to a house, converted into an abortion clinic, in the middle of a squatters’ area in Quezon City. Inside, they discovered that aside from them, there were other girls scheduled for an abortion that day. A few hours after the abortion, “Alice" was still bleeding. “Peter" decided to bring her to the hospital, and there they discovered that Alice’s abortion was unsuccessful. Mangled fragments of the aborted fetus were found inside her womb. Kara follows the couple as they file a complaint in NBI against the abortionist. Award-winning journalist Kara David exposes this high tech abortion trade scheme in her documentary exposé “Abortion Online" airing this Monday midnight on I-Witness over GMA-7.

Bukod sa mga damit, appliances at pagkain na puwedeng bilhin online, mabibili na rin pala rito ang mga gamot na pang-abortion. Maging ang transaksyon mismo ng abortion, puwede na rin ikuha ng appointment sa isang website! Makikilala ni Kara David si “Peter," ‘di nito tunay na pangalan, at aalamin kung paano ang naging transaksyon nito at ng kanyang girlfriend na si “Alice" sa isang website para sa isang abortion session. Aniya, nakipagpalitan muna ng number at nakipagtext ang “agent" sa kanila. Pagkatapos, binigyan daw sila ng schedule na isinabay sa ibang batch ng mga babaeng magpapa-abort din. Nakipagkita kina “Peter" ang agent at dinala sila papunta sa liblib na lugar, at sa isang squatters’ area naganap ang karumal-dumal na krimen. Inakala ni Alice na tapos na ang kanyang kalbaryo, pero nagpatuloy ang pagdurugo ng kanyang ari. May naiwan pa palang ilang bahagi ng katawan ng fetus na tinanggal sa kanyang sinapupunan. Isang dokumentaryong magsisiwalat ng makabagong kalakaran ng abortion ang ihahatid sa inyo ni Kara David sa ikatlong bahagi ng Black Market Special ng I-Witness, ngayong Lunes ng hatinggabi pagkatapos ng Saksi.
