"DOG STAR!" dokumentar yo ni Howie Severino ngayong Sabado sa I-WITNESS
I-Witness: Dog Star
Sergio Redolosa, 71, left school early and can barely write his name, but he has an exceptional talent: he can train nearly any dog to be a star.
The latest is Black Jack, an aspin found on the street when it was a puppy two years ago. Now it can walk on its hind legs, do chores for its master, and most amazing of all, appear able to do arithmetic!
Howie Severino first met Mang Sergio on the street along EDSA eight years ago when he was doing tricks with another dog, Habagat. Mang Sergio asked for Howie's help in searching for his young son Eddieboy, who was found dramatically in Isabela. None of it would have been possible if not for that first encounter at the dog show.
After Howie's documentary, “Best Friend”, aired, Habagat became a star.
Habagat appeared in movies, on teleseryes and other TV programs, and even got a dog food sponsorship.

He and his master inspired a film based on their story, Dog Show, directed by Ralston Jover, the prize-winning screenwriter.
The film, now in post-production, stars another dog, Princess, who played the animal lead in the hit indie movie Bwakaw.
Howie and his team return to the new movie's inspiration, Mang Sergio, in his Baseco community. They find him there confined by illness to his shack but still perfecting tricks with his dogs, including Black Jack.
But where is Habagat, his original dog star? Howie Severino will find out this Saturday, July 26, 2014, in I-Witness.
