Edible flower recipes, ihahain sa 'Pinas Sarap'

Ngayong Valentine’s Day, siguradong kikiligin ang inyong panlasa dahil alam n'yo bang may mga bulaklak na pwedeng kainin?

Sa kulinaryang Pilipino, iilan lang ang mga bulaklak na nakasanayan nating iluto at ang pinakakilala dito, ang squash blossoms o bulaklak ng kalabasa. Madalas itong isahog sa dinengdeng, pero alam niyo bang pwede din itong gawing crispy fried stuffed squash blossoms. Ang bulaklak naman ng katuray, maaaring ilahok sa ginisang monggo.



Rosas ang madalas ibigay na bulaklak tuwing Araw ng mga Puso. Pero mga Kapuso, alam niyo bang ang rosas pwede ring lutuin? Nakatikim na ba kayo ng jam at cookies na gawa sa rose petals? Eh ng ice cream, panna cotta at kape na pinasarap ng rosas?



Kung mahilig naman kayo salad o kaya naman sa kinilaw, pwede niyong subukan ang version ng mga ito na pinasarap ng bulaklak. Meron ding pizza na imbes na karne, flowers ang toppings!

It’s an exciting day in Pinas Sarap on Valentine’s Day, because we will share edible flower recipes.

Some flowers are commonly cooked like squash blossom by Filipinos. This is usually seen in denengdeng, but do you know that this can also be prepared as crispy fried stuffed squash blossoms? While the corkwood tree flower can be added to sautéed mung bean.

Roses are commonly given during Heart’s day. But do you know that it can also be eaten? Have you tried jam and cookies that are made with rose petals? How about ice cream, panna cotta and coffee with roses.

If you like salad or ceviche, you can try versions with flower. There’s also pizza instead of meat, the toppings are flowers.
