Watch real bats singing the Batman theme song!
Finally, a proper rendition of the iconic theme song from the 1960s TV show—sung, appropriately enough, by real bats.
A group of musicians and bat lovers have pooled their collective genius to convert bats' ultrasound noises into something that can be heard and appreciated by the human ear.
"Bats produce sounds that are not audible to human ears. First these ultrasounds were digitally reduced to frequencies that are audible. Then the different batsounds were assigned different keys on a keyboard," the team said on YouTube, where they posted the video.
The keyboard, dubbed the "only real Bat Organ," was used by Ulrich Seidel from Erfurt, Germany to play the Batman theme, the team added.
Meanwhile, Sándor Seuntjens from Brussels, Belgium composed the video using footage from the Batman film (1966), animated TV series (1992 to 1995), and National Geographic (natgeowild.com).
The idea for the video came from Wolter Seuntjens of Erfurt, Germany, even as the video also thanked Inken Karst and Interessengemeinschaft Fledermausschutz und forschung Thüringen e.V.
'A little bit MacGyver'
A separate article on Rockmelt.com described the resulting rendition as"a little bit MacGyver, a little bit nature, a little bit screechy, a little bit awesome."
"And it's bats all the way down," it added. — TJD, GMA News
