Wounded serpent eagle turned over to Davao City Wildlife Park

A wounded serpent eagle (Spilornis holospilus) was turned over to the wildlife park in Davao City on Monday.
The eagle was spotted by an employee of a local farm in Barangay Talandang in Tugbok, Davao City, according to a report by GMA Davao.
The employee turned it over to GMA Davao so it can be brought to a wildlife park. The report said the eagle had a wound in the head.
Personnel at the Davao Crocodile Park wildlife park confirmed the bird is a serpent eagle native to the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the wildlife park's operations manager, Philamer Medina, said the eagle was in relatively good condition. The park's personnel treated the eagle's head wound.
Medina said the serpent eagle is not considered an endangered species, "so no need to worry." — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
