Mystery of dead fish in Manila Bay, subject to BFAR probe

Dead "banak" fish floated to the water surface in parts of Manila Bay Monday morning.

 

The Philippine Coast Guard said the fish kill was noted shortly after sunrise, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported.

 

The report said some of the dead fish were seen near the Manila Yacht Club.

For its part, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources said it is investigating the incident after receiving sketchy initial reports.
