VIDEO: Scientists discover real-life Kermit the Frog

Scientists from the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center have found six specimens of a new glass frog species which they’ve named Hyalinobatrachium dianae. The frog’s common name comes from the fact that its skin is so translucent that you can see its internal organs.

The team posted an announcement on their official Facebook page, talking about the discovery. “With the addition of this newly described species, Costa Rica is known to have 14 glassfrogs inhabiting its tiny national territory.”
