#PINNED: All the online resources that students will find useful for their online classes
#Pinned makes it easier for young Filipinos to discover meaningful and enriching content and stories that will help them separate music from the noise, wheat from the chaff, and flowers from the weeds.
All our stories are written by young creatives who made it their life mission to know everything there is to know about how fellow young adults can make the most out of their limited down time every day, every week.
Now that online classes are the new norm, there is more pressure for students to put their best foot forward and deliver quality work. Thankfully, the internet is there to help. There are so many online resources available at your fingertips, and we took the liberty of compiling them for you.
Of course it’s a given that Google will always be the number one go-to. However, it helps to know other platforms that serve a specific purpose.
For presentations
There’s nothing wrong with using Powerpoint and Keynote. If you do want to take your presentations up several notches, though, you might want to consider content creation tools such as Prezi, Visme, Canva, and Animoto.

For editing
Okay, so you’re done with your work but you don’t feel quite satisfied just yet. Here’s where editing comes in! If you find yourself in need of image, audio, or video editing, then turn to GIMP, Audacity, and OpenShot, respectively.
For writing
No, we won’t give you a ghost writer to do the writing for you, but we can offer you help when it comes to your writing process. Go to Grammarly if you need a help with grammar, spelling, punctuations, and misused words. Think of it as your writing assistant. Also, if you need help with citations (APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, and more), then Cite This For Me is the one for you. Finally, worried about plagiarism? Try Quetext.

For research
Doing your research is doing due diligence. If you need additional literature research material, then SparkNotes is for you. For open access journals, try Google Scholar, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) or SAGE Journals. If you want to build your research network, Mendeley is for you.
For additional skills
The internet is a big source of education. Let me count the possibilities. If you want to learn a new language, you have Duolingo. If you need access to free eBooks, you have Project Gutenberg. If you want to take an online course, you have Coursera and Academic Earth.

For networking
The early bird catches the worm. Even though you’re still a student, it’s best to prepare for what lies ahead. Start building your professional portfolio and network with LinkedIn and Academia.
For boosting your productivity
To help us stay productive, the internet has kindly provided us with several resources. Digitize your notes with Evernote. Listen to ambient sounds of a cafe with Coffitivity or the sound of the rain with Rainy Mood. Use a timer to manage your productivity with TomatoTimer. Finally, block certain websites to keep you focused with Keep Me Out.

When you need to take a break
Don’t forget to take a break every once in a while. However, don’t wander off too far. You don’t want to procrastinate. Why not watch an interesting idea on TED? Learn something new on Mental Floss! Get inspired on Pinterest or Dribbble! Or why not take the 16 Personalities test to know more about yourself?
The internet is a gift that keeps on giving. Just like any gift we receive, we should treasure it and share it. Maximize these online resources at your fingertips and don’t forget to share it with fellow students in need. Good luck!
