Pillars of light spotted anew in Masbate sky
Light pillars were once again spotted in the skies of Masbate on Monday night.
According to YouScooper Jeromie Cagayan, he spotted the meteorological phenomenon around eight in the evening in Barangay Dao, Balud, Masbate.
The Tausug also calls these light pillars as "Lansuk-lansuk" or candles which sometimes bring either blessings or bad luck.

PAGASA weather specialist Raymond Ordinario explained that this occurs because cirrus clouds has ice crystals.
"These crystals reflect natural and artificial light, taking on the color of the light source," a Forbes report said in 2018.
Last June, Cagayan also spotted pillars of light on the Masbate night sky. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
