Magnitude 6.1 earthquake hits Surigao del Sur
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The earthquake occurred at 6:13 a.m.
Its epicenter was located at 09.27°N, 126.80°E - 066 km N 60° E of the municipality of Bayabas.
The tectonic quake had a depth of focus of 77 km.
PHIVOLCS said no damage are expected but aftershocks may occur.
