Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Cagayan Valley, CAR, Aurora, Quezon due to the Tail-end of Frontal System


At 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 220 kilometers east of Kalayaan Islands as the Tail-end of Frontal System (Shear line) affects the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and Quezon Province will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the Tail-end of Frontal System with the possible occurrence of flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Palawan will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about the LPA with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset occur by 5:50 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
