Magnitude 5.5 quake jolts Surigao del Norte

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Wednesday evening.

The tectonic earthquake occurred at 9:11 p.m., PHIVOLCS said.

The epicenter was at 10.28°N, 126.39°E - 045 km N 50° E of Burgos (Surigao del Norte).

The quake’s depth of focus was 010 kilometers.

There were no reported intensities.

Aftershocks are expected but PHIVOLCS said there may be no damages.—LDF, GMA News
