Rainy Christmas in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga —PAGASA


Christmas Day will be cloudy to rainy across the country with the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ expected to cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in most of the Visayas and the Caraga region in Mindanao.

According to its 24-hour weather forecast posted at 4 p.m. on Friday, PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, and Caraga.

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region.

The rest of the country will have localized thunderstorms that will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers. PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The whole country will have light to moderate winds blowing east to northeast while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. —NB, GMA News
