PAGASA: Rains expected in Mindanao due to ITCZ
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring rains in southern Mindanao, while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country., PAGASA said on Wednesday.
According to its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
Residents in the areas are warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms triggered by the ITCZ as well.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of the easterlies.
PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are expected.
