Magnitude 4.9 earthquake strikes Davao del Norte

A magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The earthquake occurred at 11:41 a.m.
Its epicenter was located at 07.53°N, 125.63°E - 001 km S 67° E of Santo Tomas.
The quake had a depth of 47 km and was tectonic in origin.
The earthquake was felt at the following intensities:
- Intensity III: Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte; Don Carlos, Impasug-ong, Kadingilan, Kibawe, Manolo Fortich, Maramag, and Quezon in Bukidnon; Antipas, Arakan, City of Kidapawan, Magpet, and President Roxas in Cotabato;
- Intensity II - Banisilan, M'lang, Matalam, and Tulunan in Cotabato; and
- Intensity I - Aleosan and Pikit in Cotabato; City of Cotabato.
No damage and aftershocks were expected, PHIVOLCS said.
PHIVOLCS earlier reported the earthquake as having magnitude 5.2 before downgrading it to magnitude. 4.9. —KG, GMA Integrated News
