Report: 400k Israeli credit cards hacked, data leaked
Hackers believed to be from Saudi Arabia managed to hack and leak data on 400,000 Israeli credit cards, a hacker site reported early Wednesday. The Hacker News said hacker “0xOmar” from group-xp claimed to hack into Israeli servers and obtain data such as names, addresses, cities, and social security numbers. It reported 6,600 of the stolen cards belonged to Isracard Ltd., 4,000 to Leumi Card Ltd., and 3,000 to Israel Credit Cards-Cal Ltd. (ICC-Cal). The report quoted the hacker as saying the compromised cards were used to buy virtual private networks, software, and renting cloud servers. It said the hackers claimed to be part of the hacktivist group Anonymous. — LBG, GMA News
