Telltale Games' The Walking Dead teaser video out now
By Tim G. Villasor
Telltale Games, in association with IGN, have released the very first teaser trailer to their video game based on Robert Kirkman’s hit zombie apocalypse comic book series, The Walking Dead. The teaser trailer was announced via Twitter, with gameplay footage to be released on Monday, March 19.
As a game planned to be released in episode format for all major platforms, The Walking Dead video game will serve as a journey during the first few days of the zombie apocalypse and a survival horror experience fans of the series should not miss. Also adapted into a popular TV Series by Frank Darabont and AMC, The Walking Dead tells the story of a sheriff’s deputy named Rick Grimes, who rallies together with his family and a bunch of survivors in order to survive a world now plagued by the living dead.
Telltale Games’ adaptation of The Walking Dead will not be following any of the stories featuring the main cast, and will instead focus instead on a new main character named Lee. Let go by the police after the zombie outbreak occurs, Lee’s journey sets him on a path of survival and fights against the undead. Along the way he meets a companion in the form of Clementine, who will serve as his moral compass in the game. The teaser trailer doesn’t give away much in terms of gameplay, but it serves to build up Clementine’s story and what kind of tension people can expect from TellTale’s adaptation of Kirkman’s apocalyptic world. — TJD, GMA News
