BlackBerry 10 may feature StoryMaker app, touchscreen

The first smartphone running Research In Motion's (RIM's) BlackBerry 10 platform may feature a touchscreen and a StoryMaker app, if photos leaked online recently are any indication.

According to the N4BB.com site, the new BlackBerry 10 L-Series will be launched first, followeed by the BlackBerry N-Series.

"Quick look through the apps, you can see BBM, DocsToGo, Facebook, and the most interesting: StoryMaker. We’re guessing this will be the equivalent of iMovie ... Additionally, we see the many different panes for apps, with the grid icon being the window for the last four apps opened," it said.

It added a video leak showed the L-Series (London, Liverpool) will have a 1800mAh LS1 battery, and will be gunmetal in color.

A separate article on tech site CNET said the leaked photo shows a touchscreen phone and a removable battery.

CNET cited another leak posted by BlackBerryItalia showing a video of the smartphone with a removable 1800mAh LS1 battery.

"The London is the first BlackBerry 10 and is slated to have a TI OMAP dual-core CPU running at 1.5GHz, as well as 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage, and an 8-megapixel camera," it said. — TJD, GMA News
