And the survey says... children aged 6 to 12 in the United States want an Apple iPad more than a Nintendo Wii U game console for Christmas.
Nielsen said the iPad topped wish lists of 48 percent of children while 39 percent want the Wii U, gaming site Joystiq.com reported.
Other items on the wish lists, aside from other iDevices, include:
- Kinect with 31 percent
- Nintendo 3DS/3DS XL and other DS models grab 29 and 28 percent, respectively
- Sony PS3 with 26 percent
- Microsoft Xbox 360 with 25 percent.
Joystiq.com said only 18 percent of children want a Sony PlayStation Portable, while just 14 percent would take the PSP Vita.
Meanwhile, the iPad also tops the list of people aged 13 and up with 21 percent, with the Wii U getting 17 percent, PS3 getting 8 percent and the Xbox 360 7 percent.
This time, among those 13 and up, the Vita surpassed the PSP, 4 percent compared with 3 percent. — TJD, GMA News
