Google presents 'funny Valentine,' Ferris wheel doodle

What do you get when Google marks Valentine's Day and the 154th birth anniversary of the inventor of the Ferris wheel? A Funny Valentine doodle, of course. On Thursday, visitors to Google's home page (www.google.com) were greeted with a doodle that depicted two Ferris wheels – a favorite ride of lovers.

A screenshot of Google's Doodle for Valentine's Day 2013 shows two Ferris wheels and a love button. Clicking on the love button will match two animals and depict them on various Valentine's dates. The doodle also marks the 154th birth anniversary of George Ferris, who invented the Ferris wheel.
But also in the doodle is a button with a heart, which when pressed, matches two animals at random and depicts them in random lovers' scenes. Many of the lovers' scenes in the doodle poke fun at the occasion. "You can push the heart button over and over again to match up different animals who appear to be going out on different kinds of dates," said WebProNews. On the other hand, clicking on the search icon in the doodle will take the visitor to search results for George Washington Gale Ferris Jr., the inventor of the Ferris Wheel. Ferris – born Feb. 14, 1859 and died Nov. 22, 1896 – is the American engineer who created the original Ferris wheel for the 1893 Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition. — LBG, GMA News
