Apple adds features to OS X Mountain Lion with update
Apple Inc. is rolling out new features - including an updated Safari 6.0.3 browser and support for Windows 8 Boot Camp - in an update for its OS X 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion) operating system for desktop computers and laptops.
The update to Mountain Lion also supports redeeming iTunes gift cards for the Mac App Store using the Mac's built-in camera and works with Macs with a 3-terabyte hard drive, PC World reported.
"The newest version of OS X 10.8 follows Apple’s release of Mountain Lion last July and OS X 10.8.2 in September. The company had also released a couple supplemental updates in the interim," PC World said.
OS X Mountain Lion is the present generation of Apple's OS for desktop and laptop computers.
PC World added the updates also contain improvements to system stability, including fixing a URL that caused apps to crash.
Safari 6.0.3 has improvements for scrolling on Facebook, and fixes an issue that allowed users to access unfiltered search results when searching from Google.com
Other fixes include those for audio, Contacts and incorrect displays after waking from sleep. — ELR, GMA News
