The Land Transportation Office received a nasty Easter surprise as hackers claiming to be from Saudi Arabia defaced its website on Sunday.

As of Sunday afternoon, visitors to the LTO website (www.lto.gov.ph) were greeted with a black background with the image of a supposed hacker before a laptop computer. "HaCked By BIn LaDen HaCker ... Saudi Arabia Hacker," read the message on the defaced site. It did not contain any message other than "greetings" to what appeared to be hacker groups. It also posted two Hotmail addresses on the defaced site. Sunday's hack did not appear to have any connection with the attack on a Philippine newspaper's tech site last Thursday. The group behind Thursday's attack had bore a message against groups claiming to use the name of hacktivist group Anonymous. — LBG, GMA News
