Online game publisher Asiasoft lands in PHL
Another big player has set up shop in the Philippine online gaming industry, and is planning to reach out to more gamers in the Southeast Asian region.
Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd., the company behind "Alliance of Valiant Arms (AVA)," expects to elevate the local gaming industry to greater heights with more popular titles.
“We see the potential of eSports and the burgeoning gaming scene here in the Philippines, therefore we decided to set up an office here to better serve the local gaming community,” said Asiasoft chairman Sherman Tan.
The company said it plans to launch severeal popular titles in the coming months.
"With the plethora of games in the line up, we hope that gamers here will be very excited and we look forward to their support as Asiasoft embarks on its journey," Tan said.
In the Philippines, Asiasoft plans to start its services with "Alliance of Valiant Arms," a fast action high-definition First Person Shooter (FPS) game.
Likewise up for launch are "Sudden Attack," the top FPS game in Korea; and "Chaos Online," Asiasoft's first Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) title.
Asiasoft is planning as well to launch a new football management game titled "FC Manager."
Meanwhile, Asiasoft has plans for gamers with a competitive streak, with tournaments to be held across selected iCafes nationwide leading to Asiasoft's regional championship in January 2014.
The regional championship will feature attractive cash prizes, with the participating games including AVA, Sudden Attack and Chaos Online. — TJD, GMA News
