Harry Potter's Diagon Alley gets Google View treatment
Good news for Harry Potter fans: you can now virtually tour the famous Diagon Alley, now that it has received the Google Street View treatment.
The Street View map features "landmarks" on Diagon Alley at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, tech site Mashable reported.
"In Street View mode, you can see 360-degree images of Ollivanders Wand Shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes joke shop and Mr. Mulpepper’s Apothecary," Mashable said of Google's Street View treatment.
Mashable quoted Warner Bros. Studio Tour as saying it took more than three months to build the Diagon Alley set.
Six months were needed to create over 20,000 products to put on the shops' shelves, it added.
Mashable said exploring Diagon Alley on Google Maps is "a fun experience for Harry Potter fans."
"But it makes me wonder what adventures Harry, Ron and Hermione would have missed out on if they had Google Maps and never got lost," it added. — VC/TJD, GMA News
