VIDEO: Star Wars' Mark Hamill goes to the dark side as Emperor Palpatine's voice over

How would Darth Vader feel if his boss Palpatine had the voice of his son Luke Skywalker?

Well, not exactly Luke... More like the voice of The Joker from "Batman: The Animated Series."

A "Star Wars" fan, Parry Hotter, managed to replace the voice of Palpatine with that of Mark Hamill, who played Luke in the "Star Wars" films and who voiced The Joker later in his career, according to GiantFreakinRobot.com.

Hamill, after hanging up his lightsaber, had found success as a voice actor for animated shows and video games.

Among his post-Luke Skywalker credits are The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series.

He still voices The Joker on DC Universe Online for Sony and Microsoft Windows in 2011, and voiced the archvillain for the video games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

"He earned an Interactive Achievement Award for Outstanding Achievement in Character Performance in 2009, and the BAFTA Game Award for Best Performer for his work as The Joker in 2011," GiantFreakinRobot.com said.

So imagine an alternate version of "Return of the Jedi" where Hamill's edgy Joker voice replaces that of Ian McDiarmid.

But wait, there's more: Vader has a voice change of his own: that of Tom Hardy, who played the supervillain Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises."

"The result is a strange melding of pop culture. It gets even stranger when Lando Calrissian’s assault on the Death Star and Han Solo’s infiltration of the Imperial base on the moon of Endor remain virtually unaffected," GiantFreakinRobot.com said.

Sequel coming?

GiantFreakinRobot.com said Parry Hotter plans to have a second part out before this summer ends.

"Perhaps the second video will include more of Tom Hardy’s Bane-isms from The Dark Knight Rises. Nevertheless, the video is very funny and almost seamless when you consider that Mark Hamill didn’t actual record any of the voices for this video," it said.

Real Hamill back as Luke in Episode VII?

GiantFreakinRobot.com said Hamill has been rumored to be reprising his role as Luke Skywalker in a forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams.

Hamill is expected to reunite with co-stars Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) in the upcoming film. — TJD, GMA News
