More specs of upcoming Droid phone leak out

The new Motorola Droid 5. Weibo.com

While most gadget enthusiasts' attention was on Apple's new iPhone 5S and 5C, new details of Motorola's upcoming Droid 5 were leaked online, a phone enthusiast site said.

PhoneArena.com said the leaked specs indicate the Droid 5 device may have a 4.3-inch 720p screen but not much big features.

"The Motorola DROID 5 will support wireless charging and will be NFC enabled, according to the leak. But in another piece of disappointing news, unlike the splash-proof Motorola DROID 4, the next iteration of the model will not be water or dust resistant," it said.

Powering the phone is a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus with the Adreno 255 GPU.

However, PhoneArena expressed diappointment with the upcoming phone's memory - just 1 GB RAM on board, though there is "16GB of native storage inside with a microSD slot available."

"We don't know when this might be introduced or launched, but judging from the pictures, it looks like the Motorola DROID 5 is ready to go at a moment's notice," it added. — VC, GMA News
