Pagibig Fund site, hotline down; Binay apologizes

Members of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) may not be able to get in touch with the agency remotely as its website and hotline are down, Vice President Jejomar Binay said Wednesday afternoon.

 

Binay, who chairs the agency, said this was due to an "outage" of the Philippine Long Distance and Telephone Co. (PLDT).

 

"Dear @Pagibigfund members, please be advised that our website, http://www.Pagibigfund.gov.ph, is currently down due to PLDT outage," he said on his Twitter account.

 

He added the Pag-IBIG Fund hotline, 724-4244, is also down for now.

 

As of 3:20 p.m., visitors to the Pag-IBIG Fund website were greeted with an error message saying the connection was "reset."

 

"PLDT has not yet given us an estimate of when services will be restored," Binay said.

 

"On behalf of @Pagibigfund, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused," he added.

 

However, he assured Pag-IBIG members the agency is "in constant communication" with PLDT's team to resolve the problem soonest. — TJD, GMA News
