Hearthstone now available for iPad in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand

Blizzard fans in Canada, Austalia, and New Zealand will be the first to enjoy the iPad version of free-to-play digital strategy card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. The release date for the rest of the world, however, has not been announced.

It features the same interface and gameplay as the PC version, and is compatible to iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), iPad Air™, iPad mini™, and iPad mini with Retina.

Android, iPhone, and Windows tablet versions are also in development and will be available in the near future.

“Hearthstone’s player base has already grown to more than 10 million registered accounts following the official Windows® and Mac® release,* but we saw that a few people online were holding out for the iPad version,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment in a press release. — Kim Luces/VC, GMA News
